The Super (Sleepy) Bowl
Its 8:00 am and the sun's barely up but in the first true test of living across the world, I've dedicated myself to having a Superbowl party (well, actually I don't really know anyone in my neighborhood but if I could type flyers in Korean, I would have). So let the solo suare begin.
I suppose beyond friends and fun, the other F pillar of Superbowl Sunday is food. I've decided to venture out at halftime (10:15 am) to my street and compile of collection of street bread, vendor fries (not potato though), and fish cakes. As unappealing as that sounds, it actually wasn't half bad (but I'm not sold on the other half being good yet either).
So the game ended, and I was surprisingly supportive of the Steelers, despite the conference rivalry (go Ravens!). Big Ben shadowing Marino, Jerome bringing one home, and Hines Ward becoming the new unofficial mascot to interracial Korean breeding. His natural combination of athletic prowess, sharp wit, and Korean charm has made him a force to be reckoned with. I hear he'll be here in April, which gives me 2 months to make a Ward Ravens Jersey.
So all's well that ends well...
I'm watching all my sporting events on tape delay from now on though.
